Salato
Ticket Delivery Policy
Salato sells digital tickets to events. There is nothing physical to ship — every ticket is delivered electronically the moment your payment is confirmed. This policy explains how you receive your ticket, what it contains, and what to do if it doesn't arrive.
What your ticket is
Your ticket is a PDF document generated by Salato. Each ticket carries the attendee's name, a unique ticket number, and a single-use QR code. The QR code is scanned at the event to admit you, and it can only be used once. Keep your ticket private — anyone who has the QR code could use it to gain entry.
How your ticket is delivered
As soon as your payment is confirmed, Salato delivers your ticket in two ways:
- Email — the ticket PDF is sent to the email address you entered at checkout.
- WhatsApp — the same ticket is also sent to the phone number you entered at checkout.
You only need one of them to get in — either the emailed PDF or the WhatsApp message will admit you, as long as the QR code scans. Delivery is usually immediate, but during busy periods it can take a few minutes.
Getting your details right
Your ticket goes to the exact email address and phone number you enter at checkout, so please double-check both before you pay. A mistyped address or number is the most common reason a ticket doesn't arrive. Enter the WhatsApp number in full international format (for example, +254 …) so the message can reach you.
If your ticket hasn't arrived
If a few minutes have passed and you don't have your ticket, try this:
- Check the spam or promotions folder in your email.
- Confirm the number you used has WhatsApp active on it.
- Make sure the email address and phone number you entered were correct.
Still nothing? Email [email protected] from the address you bought with, or send your order number and the event name, and we'll re-send your ticket. As long as your payment went through, we can always re-issue it — the ticket is stored against your order.
At the event
Bring your ticket on your phone or printed out. The organiser's team scans the QR code at entry. Because each code is single-use, once it has been scanned it can't be used again — so don't share your ticket or forward the QR code to anyone you're not giving your place to.
What Salato is responsible for
Salato is responsible for generating your ticket correctly and sending it to the email address and phone number you provided, and for re-issuing it if it fails to reach you through no fault of your own. Salato is not responsible for delivery failures caused by incorrect contact details, a full or blocked inbox, a number without WhatsApp, or your network or device. The event itself — entry, timing, and what happens on the day — is run by the organiser.
